What happens when a new member is added to an existing account?

When a new member joins an account in the middle of its billing cycle, the Lifetime Activation fee covers the rest of the current cycle, plus a portion of the next. When the family’s account is up for renewal, the system will automatically charge a fraction of that member’s monthly fee to cover the unpaid portion of the new cycle.

Let’s say your office has a family account that gets renewed on the 5th of each month, and that they wish to add a new member, Ryan, on April 20. So what happens on May 5 when the family is up for renewal? All members of the family will be charged for their May 5 - June 5 billing cycle, but because Sam has already prepaid through May 20 (one month after his start date), the system automatically prorates his fees, and he is only charged for the unpaid days between May 20 and June 5. This way, Ryan doesn’t pay more or less for his coverage than he should — your illumitrac software just ensures his membership is in sync with the rest of his family’s billing cycle.
